Border and Immigration Chaplaincy

Objective:

We provide support to all people, beyond their normal support structures, within the border community. This community comprises:

  • - Government employees from various departments (immigration, ZIMRA, security agencies, health, veterinary, etc.)
  • - Private company employees (private security staff, clearing agents, transport business staff, etc.)
  • - Travelers
Our Chaplains Provide:-

  • - Spiritual and pastoral care to migrants, refugees, staff, travelers, asylum seekers, and detainees.
  • - Emotional support, counseling, and religious services to people from diverse backgrounds.
  • - Comfort, emotional support, and addressing emotional needs.
  • - Advocacy: Supporting humane treatment and dignity for migrants and detainees.
  • - Community building: Fostering a sense of community among migrants and detainees.
  • - Collaboration: Working with organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders.
  • - Education: Raising awareness about migration issues and promoting empathy.
  • - Crisis intervention: Responding to critical situations, like trauma or family separation.
  • - Connection to resources: Facilitating access to legal aid, medical care, and social services.
