Border and Immigration Chaplaincy
Objective:
We provide support to all people, beyond their normal support structures, within the border community. This community comprises:
- - Government employees from various departments (immigration, ZIMRA, security agencies, health, veterinary, etc.)
- - Private company employees (private security staff, clearing agents, transport business staff, etc.)
- - Travelers
Our Chaplains Provide:-
- - Spiritual and pastoral care to migrants, refugees, staff, travelers, asylum seekers, and detainees.
- - Emotional support, counseling, and religious services to people from diverse backgrounds.
- - Comfort, emotional support, and addressing emotional needs.
- - Advocacy: Supporting humane treatment and dignity for migrants and detainees.
- - Community building: Fostering a sense of community among migrants and detainees.
- - Collaboration: Working with organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders.
- - Education: Raising awareness about migration issues and promoting empathy.
- - Crisis intervention: Responding to critical situations, like trauma or family separation.
- - Connection to resources: Facilitating access to legal aid, medical care, and social services.
